ABOUT ANGEL Angel Rodriguez, M.A., C.N.E., is a former professional boxer rated #1 in the World. Her interviews on coaching and training have been in local newspapers and magazines and she has also been seen in numerous television appearances, including being featured on the Channel 5 Evening News Special. Angel ascribes her passion for health and fitness to her father, Elias Rodriguez, who was a well-known competitive bodybuilder and martial artist, holding many titles including Mr. America. Her passion for health and fitness developed as a young adult working with her father in his gyms. It was from this foundation that she became comfortable in the business environment and began her study of business and personal development. Angel has been invited to organize business operations for several different companies due to her successes, and has received achievement awards in these industries for top businesses in California. Her focus today has changed due to climate change, and its associated impacts on health and the environment. This has led to teaching and developing sustainability programs that integrate methods of living, into the daily lives of people, which foster social responsibility, cultivate the sustainable business community, and facilitate sustainable lifestyles. She is founder of the Sustainable Living Institute, owns several businesses that provide education and sustainable services, and also offers her business prowess to environmental organizations. She is actively involved in Transition Sebastopol’s initiating team, along with several of its working groups, and is Education Coordinator for the Northern California Earth Institute. Angel holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Communities, with her thesis; A Model of Transition for Sustainable Living: Sebastopol, a bachelor’s degree in Culture, Ecology and Sustainable Communities with a concentration in Holistic Nutrition, and is a Certified Nutrition Educator and Herbalist. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Sustainable Education and lives in Sebastopol, California. |
